Ananda Development · with Dusit International and Sasin

Ten weeks one participant called “one of the best experiences in my life”.

Ananda Development brought its own people together with Dusit International and Sasin School of Management for a 10-week ExO Sprint: five teams, from first idea to tested prototype to a pitch in front of leadership.

An ExO Sprint with ExO Works (now OpenExO). Sprinthero provided the Head Coach and ran the Sprint with a team of coaches.

The challenge

Look beyond the next condominium.

Ananda Development is one of Bangkok's leading residential developers, known for condominiums next to the city's mass-transit lines. The Sprint looked past the next building, to new businesses around the home and the people who live in it: loyalty, community, land, hospitality and learning.

Rather than run the search alone, Ananda invited partners from hospitality (Dusit International) and business education (Sasin School of Management) to sprint alongside its own teams, so every initiative was challenged from more than one industry.

The Sprint

Define, disrupt, refine, launch — in ten weeks.

  1. 00

    Awake & Align

Two days in person: exponential technologies and business models, then aligning leadership on the purpose of the Sprint.

  2. 01–04

    Define

Explore trends, ideate ten ExO initiatives per team, run experiments with potential clients, select four and draft five-minute pitches.

  3. 05

    Disrupt

Every team rehearses and pitches its initiatives to a disrupt panel and gets feedback before investing more time.

  4. 06–09

    Refine

Low-fidelity prototypes, selling to early adopters, modifying or pivoting on what the market says, and assembling the final two.

  5. 10

    Launch

Each team rehearses and pitches its two strongest initiatives to leadership.

Postcards from Batch #1

In their own handwriting.

At the end of their 10-week ExO Sprint, the Ananda Development teams wrote postcards to the people who would sprint next. Some have a drawing on the back — hover or tap Flip to turn them over.

“The most confusing 10 weeks in your working life — but you will learn so much.”

“It's an eye-opening experience. Enjoy and Godspeed — it's a Sprint!”

“A huge opportunity to grow and connect with great people.”

“Five tips: use the advisors from week 1, talk straight, and share what you learn.”

“Don't give up no matter what — talk to your coach.”

“You will have to go through the process yourself.”

“Keep fighting! Believe in yourself and your team.”

“The future is in your hand.”
